We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the IT4Causes family, Andy Phillips, joining us as a Senior IT Consultant and Systems Engineer. With a wealth of experience in the IT industry, Andy brings a unique blend of skills and insights to IT4Causes.
On his prior experience:
“Before joining IT4Causes, I was CTO of AcornSign Graphics in Richmond, VA for approximately 12 years. AcornSign was a multi-site Signage manufacturer with remote employees across the USA. AcornSign had a unique blend of IT, Manufacturing, Sales, Project Management, and Process Improvement opportunities that allowed my experience with technology, graphics, and manufacturing to keep me learning, listening, and making incremental organizational changes with a talented team. Prior to AcornSign Graphics, I worked with Graphics Gallery and Capital One supporting technology in a Graphics/Production environment. I obtained my MFA from Virginia Intermont College in Fine Art Photography and the magic of the early days of Photoshop led me down the path of curiosity about what drove the technology behind the art.”
On what excites him about working in the IT industry:
“I enjoy the logical reasoning processes used while working in the IT industry and how technology enables people to achieve organizational goals. Technology is about empowering teams and individuals to be able to operate more effectively, allowing people to maintain human connections to each other, learning how to better serve others. I look forward to working with IT4causes and the talented pool of Volunteers/Interns to provide solutions for Non-Profit communities.”
